Founded in 1972 by Jim & Julia Barron, Barron’s has been a staple of Longview, Texas for nearly 50 years. The then 1,500 square foot shop has grown to over ten times that size today to include a boutique, gift shop, kid’s toys and a curated collection of diverse goods.
In addition to this “specialty department store”, the couple also opened Café Barron’s in 1995 offering casual upscale cuisine in a modern setting. Maintaining the legacy of quality & excellence, their son Brandon & wife Lacy now operate both the shop & full service bar / restaurant.
Their passion for East Texas & small business continues to thrive thanks to their outstanding team of staff & support from their community. This unique blend has captured the attention of The Wall Street Journal, Southern Living, and Texas Monthly to name a few.
